The Irwin Inn is ideal for golf vacations in Ontario, Canada. In the 1950s we constructed a par-3 course at The Irwin Inn. It can be a perfect introduction to a family golf experience and for the seasoned golfer it is a convenient practice facility just steps from your room.

For the serious golf enthusiast, Wildfire Golf Club offers a challenging, stunning course. We customize packages for individuals, couples and groups.

It is summertime at the Irwin Inn and the focus is on the family. Families have been spending their summer resort holidays at the Irwin Inn for 3 generations. They come back because the whole family has a great time. Our supervised children’s program is geared to different age groups so kids of all ages get to experience memorable summer adventures. You never hear “I’m bored” but rather “can we come back next year?” Water sports like tubing, boarding and skiing are run by qualified instructors and are guaranteed to exhaust everyone. Our evening programs are designed to entertain every family member.

One child stays free or one teen at half rate when you stay 5 nights or more throughout the entire summer!

Your "Family Fun" Getaway at the Inn includes the following:

A quiet paddle in some of Stoney Lake’s back channels might reward you with a view of an osprey or eagle. A short drive away will take you to some of the area’s specialty attractions including Petroglyph’s Park and the Canadian Canoe Museum.

The six rooms at the Inn are available to be booked for the Bed and Breakfast package, subject to availability. The rooms offer a comfortable and economic taste of a Stoney Lake getaway. Some rooms afford beautiful lake views and will give you a uniquely Kawartha bed and breakfast experience. Some rooms offer a double bed, some a queen bed, and some a queen and a single bed. Dinner is available at the Inn, and of course, you can make reservations.

This self-guided tour helps you experience the traditions of the past reflected in the present. Visit the Canadian Canoe Museum, Whetung Ojibwa Centre, Peterborough Centennial Museum, Hutchison House, Peterborough Liftlocks, Lang Pioneer Village or take a historic walking tour of Lakefield, Ontario.

Ongoing demonstrations, special events, museum tours and guest artisans provide a stimulating day of history and tradition at the Canadian Canoe Museum.

And, for the Art Gallery lover, a visit to the beautiful and rustic "Gallery on the Lake" is must! When in Peterborough (a 10 minute drive from Lakefield) drop in to see the Art Gallery of Peterborough and the historic Hutchison House.
